Delegate the recurring work behind your business
Back-office outsourcing gives defined operational tasks an external owner while your team retains business direction. The right scope depends on where work is accumulating, which decisions must remain internal and how the service will be measured.
Start with a function you can define
Administration, finance operations, HR coordination, customer support and data reporting each have different handover requirements. Choose a workflow with identifiable inputs, outputs and a person responsible for approving the result. Starting with one function makes it easier to assess fit before expanding.
What a useful outsourcing scope includes
- A task list, expected volumes and working hours.
- Named owners for approvals and escalations.
- Systems access and information-handling requirements.
- Agreed reporting, quality checks and review points.
- Transition responsibilities and arrangements for ending or changing the scope.
Working across US and UK time zones
Aegis is based in Karachi, Pakistan. Discuss your operating hours, required overlap, holidays and communication channels at the start. A remote delivery model needs explicit coverage agreements; a website enquiry does not itself reserve a team or confirm a service level.
Compare outsourcing with keeping work in-house
Consider the full cost of managing the work, including recruitment, training, tools, supervision and internal review. Outsourcing is not automatically the right answer for every responsibility. Keep strategic decisions and regulated sign-off with the appropriate people, and define the recurring support around them.
